Air Fryer Sweet Potato Fries and Dip

Updated: Dec 22, 2022

I love Sweet Potato Fries! To be honest, one of the main reasons I enjoy eating them so much is because of this delicious dip that I make! This dip is simple and amazing, with the combination of the spices I use, it truly balances out the sweetness of the sweet potatoes beautifully. I like it mild, because it’s loaded with so many great flavors, but you can definitely make it as spicy as you like!

Making sweet potato fries in the air fryer is way healthier than deep frying them. You’ll still get a great, crisp flavor while sparing yourself the extra calories and fat. Try these air fryer sweet potato fries and tasty dip for a delicious treat! They also make a great side dish to accompany many recipes

INGREDIENTS for the dip:

  • 1 & 1/2 cup of mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lime juice

  • 1/4 teaspoon of chili powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon of paprika

  • 1/4 teaspoon of cumin

  • 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder

STEPS for the dip:

In a small bowl, mix all the ingredients together and refrigerate the dip for at least an hour before eating, so that the spices can blend together:

Air fryer sweet potatoes:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 medium sweet potatoes

  • 2 teaspoons of olive oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon of paprika

  • a pinch of black pepper

STEPS:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 378°F/192°C. Peel the sweet potatoes, then slice each potato into even 1/4 inch thick sticks.

  2. Place the sweet potatoes in a large mixing bowl, and toss with olive oil, salt, paprika,  garlic powder, and pepper.

  3. You will need to cook it in 2 batches, maybe even 3, depending on the size of your basket. You don’t want to overcrowd the pan or they won’t  get crispy. I recommend 12 minutes, turning half way. This may vary based on your air fryer.

  4. Enjoy them with the tastiest dipping sauce (see my recipe above!) Bon appétit!
