Oreo cookies are a favourite in our house. So naturally, Oreo desserts are always a huge hit here! This recipe is not only easy but it’s also delicious! Try it, it will surely be a crowd pleaser! I must warn you...beware, they will disappear quickly! I always hide some for myself, they are hard to resist! These no bake Oreo balls are basically bite size truffles that are packed with sweet Oreo flavor and topped with a smooth layer of decadent chocolate and of course a sprinkle of Oreo crumbs and/or a drizzle of white chocolate.
*Side note- my son often requests peanut butter in these and they have turned out great!
INGREDIENTS:
1 entire package of Oreo cookies (303 grams)
1 entire ounce package cream cheese (8 ounces)
2 cups of white chocolate chips (for drizzling)
2 cups of semi sweet chocolate chips
Some crushed Oreos for the topping (optional but recommended!)
STEPS:
Line your cookie sheet with parchment paper, foil or a rubber baking mat.
Add the Oreos in a food processor and pulse until you see fine crumbs.
Add in the cream cheese and continue to mix until it’s all fully combined.
Using a teaspoon, scoop out 1 inch balls and roll each ball in your hands. Place them on your prepared cookie sheet and put them in the freezer for about 15 minutes.
In a medium size, microwave safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips for 30 seconds at a time (30 second intervals). Check on the bowl every 30 seconds until they’ve reached a smooth and melted consistency.
Remove the truffle balls from the freezer. Dip each ball into the chocolate and place on the cookie sheet to let them set. You can top them with with crushed Oreos if you’d like. I like to drizzle them with melted white chocolate.
Bon appétit!
