If you’re looking for a delicious, savory treat, you need to give these prosciutto wrapped dates a try. They’re super easy to make, and will honestly disappear shortly after they come out of the oven! I love eating them as a snack. They’re always a hit as appetizers at my table too.
These prosciutto wrapped dates have only 3 ingredients, they really take no time to prepare and they pack an amazing burst of sweet-salty favours. Take my word for it, they’re highly addictively tasty little treats, and they’re absolutely perfect for any occasion! If you want to add a little extra touch, you can top them with toasted sesame seeds.
You can double (or triple) this recipe very easily. Everyone who’s tried these has loved them, give my recipe a try, you won’t be disappointed!
INGREDIENTS:
6 Medjool dates
3 slices of prosciutto
6 teaspoons of Boursin (or any goat cheese, or gorgonzola cheese of your choice)
STEPS:
Preheat the oven to 350F.
Open the dates lengthwise by gently spreading/pushing on each side, this will open them up so that you can remove the pits and any hard stem ends.
Slice each slice of the prosciutto into 2 long strips.
Fill each date with 1 teaspoon of cheese, then wrap each date with a strip of prosciutto.
Pace the dates on a lined baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. At this point the prosciutto should be starting to slightly crisp.
Make every effort possible to let them cool a minute before eating them, or you’ll end up with a burnt mouth like me!
Bon appétit!
